Throughout its history, Windsor Castle has been used as a military fortress, a home, a palace, and even a prison. Today, it is one of the primary residences of the British Monarch; Queen Elizabeth II spends much time there. Currently, there are five areas open to the public, making it a beautiful tourist attraction.
